Ending all discrimination against women and girls is not only a basic human right, it’s crucial for sustainable future. It is vital to give women equal rights to land and property, sexual and reproductive health, and to technology and the internet. Today there are more women in public office than ever before, but encouraging more women leaders will help achieve greater gender equality.

ASU contributes to Global Alliance for Equity in Leadership report

A new report, What Will It Take: Equality In Leadership By 2030, outlines 10 action plans that articulate the practical actions Government, Universities and Industry must take to close the leadership gender gap.

Gender equity center boosts burgeoning ecosystem of female entrepreneurs in Hawaii

Arizona State University’s Center for Gender Equity in Science and Technology co-hosted a virtual pitch competition to support Hawaii-based startups led by women. Six finalists were chosen who use science and technology to address challenges and create new opportunities to make a positive impact in Hawaii and beyond.

Over the course of the last five years, the center has worked with a wide range of students, parents, schools and industry partners not only in Arizona but throughout the United States and internationally.
